Distribution for a goalkeeper has become so much more important in the last few years with the shift in the way that teams set out. They are now the 11th outfielder. Two of the best in the business are Ter Stegen and Ederson, but who is the best?
Ter Stegen has been able to highlight his class with the ball at his feet this season. He is the undisputed number one at Barcelona. With Manuel Neuer out injured he also has the chance to impress on the world stage at the World Cup this summer.

Ederson has been a revelation at Manchester City and still is not his national sides number one.
Ederson (17/18 skills) He is the perfect example of a modern day keeper. Sweeping, shot stopping, distribution, the 24 year old has it all. pic.twitter.com/uVOkQzfDwm

Other professionals appreciate just how good Ederson is with the ball at his feet.
I played 400 professional football games and Ederson is better outfield than me, he’s a goalkeeper ffs!!! ⚽️?

To be honest we can’t decide. Watching them is enough pleasure.
