It’s Nikes latest glove and they look extraordinary.

The main change is the fact that the strap has been replaced by a flexible wrist cuff that extends from the joint to the lower forearm for mobility and comfort.

The aim seems to be to remove anything that a glove previously is supposed to have, with features that a glove actually needs. They have been able to use features from gloves in other sports and apply the cross over to goalkeeper gloves. As a result it is 33-percent lighter and 47-percent thinner than a normal glove.

Nike sponsored goalkeeper Jack Butland was one of the first to try and test them and had raving reviews. “It’s when you play in them that the performance benefits come through. I feel like I have a lot more control in these gloves and they can help take me to the next level.”

Many thought that they looked quite silly…

Others loved the look of them though…

Although the price may definitely put some people off…
