Arsenal have had a tough week, being beaten by Brighton, and are subsequently getting a lot of stick for it, particularly Petr Cech. The Czech is having a hard time at Arsenal, having conceded 172 in 3 years in comparison to 189 goals in 11 years at Chelsea.

After his poor performance, Cech took to Twitter to state how sorry he was to fans.

“It deserves a lot of respect because it’s his assessment of his performance,” Wenger said of Cech’s tweet.

“He’s a very intelligent guy, a very professional guy. He has saved us on other occasions. When the players do well you take the credit. When the players don’t do well you have to live with it.”
