Could Szczesny have goaded Tottenham fans anymore than he did?

Rivalries are intense but none so much in the world of club football than Arsenal and Tottenhams, North London rivalry.

Szczesny was always the first to aim digs at Tottenham whilst he was at Arsenal so when Juventus recovered to record a 2-1 victory, that saw them advance to the Champions League quarter finals he had plenty of opportunity.

Whilst sat on the bench the Polish international was vocal and even gestured for the Tottenham fans to sit down after Harry Kane hit the post in stoppage time.

The embarrassment didn’t stop after the final whistle

After the final whistle, he aimed a ‘chin-up’ gesture at one section Spurs fans.

Speaking to the press after Szczesny said “There were a couple [of Tottenham] fans — very vocal — next to my bench, who went missing after the 80th minute so, yeah, I enjoyed it.”
